Brunswick Republican Party/Frank Williams Involved in Potential Campaign Finance Violations
Part 2—MAGA Not Welcome by the Cuck Party “Elites"
In Part 1, we looked at the Brunswick Republican Party (Moore and his acolytes, including Frank Williams) selling out the voters of Brunswick County through Democrat Party means.
Recap
Bill Moore, the chair of the county Republican party, sought to destroy a fellow conservative, Allison Dunlap, by calling her a racist because she wanted clean and verifiable elections. Moore wanted unverifiable elections that would disenfranchise the Republican vote.
Frank Williams raised taxes in hard economic times, and supported rapid development that his campaign benefitted from monetarily.
In part 2, we look at some of the slimy shenanigans and selective applications of the law against the opponents of Moore and Williams.
What we have is a clear case of unequal application of the laws—taking another page out of the Democrat Party playbook.
Introduction of Republican Betrayal
The history of the Republican Party stretches back to the collapse of the coalition between Whigs, free soilers, and others who generally did not believe that slavery was the natural state of man—we have an inalienable right to be free from tyranny. After the Democrat Supreme Court decision, Dred Scott, which secured slavery AND codified that slavery could be taken even into free states, the Republican Party was born.
America experienced a New Birth of Freedom that began and continued with these hallowed Republicans: Fremont, Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Hayes, Garfield McKinley, and ultimately ending with the preeminent Calvin Coolidge. Republican party foundations are here; traditional Republicans were not going about the globe looking for “monsters to destroy”1 and starting wars—that was the Democrat Party. Republicans ended slavery; Democrats wanted to keep it and extended it to poor whites.2 I could go on.
Republicans generally supported the Free market, but opposed the income tax, and were for tariffs as a means to control the size of government, and also so not to act tyrannically on the people it represented. This economic policy is the reason America became a world superpower, and innovation exploded. Democrats wanted unrestricted trade even if it bolstered our enemies, and income taxes…all in the name of “progress” of course.
There is an old, likely forgotten saying: “Democrats Start Wars, and Republicans end them.” Nothing was more true all the way to Nixon. Then something changed. Republicans and Democrats seemed to all of a sudden wind up on the same side on the major issues of the day, especially wars. But also, on spending (more, always more), and they had a deference to what my former teacher Angelo Codevilla [RIP] would call, “the Ruling class.” These are the “experts” who run the government, and they hate the American people because, in part, they are not as smart as our self appointed exalted “elites.” They include the rich, academics, and the staff of the administrative state. As Codevilla stated, the Democrats are the majority rulers of this class, and Republicans are just fine ro receive the scraps from Caesar’s table that Democrats throw at them; they are happy with their small piece of the pie. Slavish they are. We call these Republicans historically RINOS. But, they are really cucks.
This explains the countless number of Liberal “Republicans” who loathe MAGA. We should be clear, that MAGA Republicans have more in common with the foundations of the Republican party than the Cuck Republicans.
The list is long: Romney, Pence, Bush, Bush again, Romney again, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Tom Tillis, Cheney again,Richard Burr, and countless others—McCarthy also comes to mind. It is essentially these figures who have allied with the Demcorats more than they have fought for the traditional principles of the Republican Party. Most recently, these “Republicans” have supported Democrat efforts to silence speech, and they are just fine with the ruling class jailing their political opponents. They love globalism, and that means living in apartments, driving unreliable electric cars, and eating less red meat. A winning message I am sure.
They are submissive to the Democrats, and that is what makes them cucks.
As we will examine in this essay, the county “Republican” party and Frank Williams are squarely in the camp of the establishment “Republican” party; they spend more time attacking their alleged political allies, and almost never attack the slave party Democrats.
You should ask why that is?
Bill Moore’s Losing Mentality
In 2022, Democrat Eric Terashima3 challenged Republican Incumbent Frank Iller for a House seat. Note his campaign message:
TERASHIMA: I am on the board of directors for the Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity, which actively works to provide affordable housing. Both the County and municipalities need to strike a balance with developers to provide affordable housing while striving to preserve the character of our neighborhoods.
He wants to bring “affordable” housing to the area to preserve it, yet there is no example anywhere of such a development “preserving” anything. It is just a sexed up term that means “change the electorate,” and “buy more votes.”
As we noted in part 1, “affordable” anything from the government tends to destroy communities. Therefore, like Moore and the “Republicans” in the county, Democrats and Republicans are aligned to actually change the character of the county. Even Republicans wax foolishly about the “need” for “affordable housing,” which means rapid rental development.
Worse yet, in 2022, I had a conversation with Moore outside a precinct. He said: “I like Terashima, but he is not going to win today.” Maybe he will win in the future, was the implication. Moore essentially said, Terashima would be just fine representing Brunswick County. Frank Iler, prepare for the Ides of Moore. This is not a recipe for winning; in fact is suggests a person committed to no principles at all; it is more evidence that there really is no difference between the parties in the county. Moore does not have a fighting spirit.
As noted above, the history of the Republican Party dates back to John C. Fremont, and a New Birth Freedom under Abraham Lincoln. Why would Moore see the slave party, the party of Jim Crow, the party of unequal treatment under the law, the party that jails political opponents, and encourages gunman to target them, an ally? The Democrat Party has never apologized for their wars, or their city riots after 2016, or the attempted assassination of Steve Scalise, and they continue to jail political opponents, shut down our churches, place abortion clinics in minority communities, calls black Americans animals, or worse. Yet, Moore considers them a friend of the republic. Cuck.
Diary of a Primary—Stealth Candidate Frink
In the Republican Primary March 2024, several Republicans were running against incumbents who, as we noted in part 1, were selling out their voters. Their actions in the primary demonstrate this fact.
Moore and his Republican club sought to run more moderate (i.e. neo-con leftists) against incumbents like Pat Sykes—the only real conservative on the Board of Commissioners. The question might be raised, why would Moore support a neo-con/leftists over a genuine conservative?
At any rate, the Brunswick party elites ran Jwanta Frink against Pat Sykes. Frink has been a supporter of Williams for a very long time, as his campaign reports demonstrate. Here is an example: 👇
You might object to my characterization of Frink, so let’s speak with her own words:
But Frink, who's running against Sykes in the Republican primary, thinks that there's more that the county can do to create affordable housing.
"If it's still the topic of the election — the topic of Brunswick County — that means it hasn't been done yet or done on a level that we can feel it," she told WHQR.
Frink previously served as an alderman in Southport, and now sits on the board for Dosher Memorial Hospital. Frink wants the county to incentivize affordable housing from developers. She pointed out that it wasn't just the workforce who needed housing — Brunswick County seniors also need it. She thinks that in order to cope with the explosion of growth in Brunswick County, the county commission must have "hard conversations" with developers.
"I don't think I'm naive in thinking that I can find developers that are willing to be a part of this particular process," she said.
Notice how her campaign message is no different from Terashima’s. It is not a coincidence.
In other words, as we noted in part 1, Frink wants to hollow out the middle class, and take land from long time residents, to build homes for a transient community. As we also noted in part 1, this ruins towns and decreases property value of the long time residents over time. But, she can find her some developers to subsidize to complete this plan!4
While she describes herself as a conservative, if her connections to Williams and Moore are any indication, this means doing the same thing that “Republicans” in the county have always done under the present leadership—raise taxes, build rapidly, and fund it with government grants. What mean? Tax payers will foot the bill for their ambitious visions to recreate the county in their image. And, no, your consent, Brunswick voter, is not needed.
But what might be any connection besides her giving monies to Williams in the past? She ponied up over $3,000 in the primary and hired Frank Williams (his wife Lori Williams) business, Pioneer Strategies, to print all her signs:
In fact the Williams’s run a sign business out of their Leland office. This becomes more relevant as will be noted below.
Diary of a Primary—The Dishonest Campaign against Tammaru
The North Brunswick Republican Club and a new online group started by Tammaru called the North Brunswick Conservatives allegedly handed out a flier that suggested electoral preferences for real conservatives (not fake ones) in the primary. An explanation is needed at this point: The North Brunswick Conservative Club is an online group. The more formal North Brunwick Republican Club still exists and the two share members. The online group was founded to distinguish certain interests from Moore’s faction. In an act to cause confusion, an anonymous group started and named themselves, the North Brunswick Republicans. So formally there is the North Brunswick Republican Club, and the Moore/Williams inspired North Brunswick Republicans (with official elephant seal of approval). And, on the other side there is an online group called the North Brunswick Conservatives and the North Brunswick Republican Club. As noted, the Moore inspired North Brunswick Republicans display the Republican elephant as their identifying marker. So far, Moore has yet to complain about it like he did to the North Brunswick Republican Club. Who is running the present North Brunswick Republicans group then? Your guess is as good as mine. Likely it is someone connected to Moore.
With that background, an example of the flier follows:
This flier caused the Moore/Williams faction much distress. For some reason they were so worried about Frank losing (he cruised to victory)5 the past Vice-chair of the Brunswick Republican Party, Larry Blank, filed a rather hysterical campaign violation claim against Williams’s challenger (without reasonable or direct evidence). See for yourself:
Don’t know much about Blank? Here is a primer. He, and Commissioner Mike Forte, are from New Jersey, yet they seem to support many of the same policies you might expect from that state:
Blank: “(To) go from 2,500 or 3,000 residents to 25,000 — that’s a heckuva growth,” said Blank, a retiree from New Jersey.
More people. More restaurants. More things to do.
But I told Blank that when you type “downtown Leland” into Google Maps, the app sends you to a palm-tree-lined shopping center with a Harris Teeter and a Panera off U.S. 17.
“Right here, to this shopping center? That’s amazing,” Blank said laughing. “There is no downtown Leland, as you found out.”
***
Blank loves his Brunswick lifestyle, though he said he’s threatened by what’s happening politically across the nation. He often wears a red “Save America” baseball cap.
“I feel very strongly, I feel America is under attack,” he said. “I feel my values are under attack that I have developed along a lifetime.”
He loves the growth here. If he does, then why leave Jersey? Oh, that’s right “taxes.” But the policies he and people like him brought with them have, as we have seen, raise taxes. Why are they supporting the same policies they hate from their home state? It is implied, he wants more rapid growth. What are Blank’s values? (he has given campaign monies to tax hiking Williams numerous times. Here are a few].👇
Blank’s actions demonstrate that he likes higher taxes, and selective prosecution of political enemies. Sounds a lot like New Jersey. But this is not NJ; this is NC. That does not sound very republican, much less Republican. Of course the problem is that when it comes to action, Blank is supporting left of center Republicans, as his filing/complaint against Tammaru demonstrates.
If you read his complaint, Blank states that because Tammaru was still administrator of the NB Conservative FB page, and a past president of the North Brunswick Republican Club, ergo, the slate card must have come from the Tammaru himself, not independent individuals. This means, he thinks that Tammaru paid for it and used his position as club member and administrator of his conservative FB site to print the slate flier. He states that the flier should have noted a “paid for by” disclaimer. To make matters worse (Oh my God! So bad!) he claims that the NB Conservative Club publicizing it on their FB page and emailing the slate to recipients was a violation of campaign law. More dastardly, he claims that Tammaru asking volunteers to work the polls, and pass out the slate card is further evidence of foul play and law breaking.
It is difficult to give such a dumbly written illogical complaint credence, but we must. First you will note, Blank’s complaint is actually, well, blank on any evidence that ties Tammaru to any violation of the law. But let’s say there is something here and Blank has filled up that void. The question remains: is it a violation?
North Carolina Campaign Statutes Exonerate Tammaru
The NC GS notes at §163-278.39 that there shall not be a sponsor on an ad, media, etc., that shall omit the “paid for by” line. To wit:
Basic Requirements. – It shall be unlawful for any sponsor to sponsor an advertisement in the print media or on radio or television that constitutes an expenditure, independent expenditure, electioneering communication, or contribution required to be disclosed under this Article unless all the following conditions are met:
(1) It bears the legend or includes the statement: "Paid for by ____ [Name of candidate, candidate campaign committee, political party organization, political action committee, referendum committee, individual, or other sponsor]."
While the flier omits the exact line, “paid for by..” it does not omit who in fact paid for it. Technically, this MIGHT be a violation of the law. However, IF so, it is a minor one, since the sponsor of the material is, well, obvious and noted.
But, second, let’s follow Blank’s logic shall we?
In the first image on this post (above at the beginning), you will note the no slate sign in question presents a real problem for Blank/Williams, and Moore. There was no identification of where that sign came from. There was no “paid for by” line on it. It was planted in the ground at a precinct in Leland. There was a Republican image, or likeness, also used on the sign. It thus sent the message that it was paid for by Moore’s Brunswick Republican Party.
For expediency, here is the actual sign posted at NB4 precinct:
Frank Williams personal signs on election day also had no “paid for by” line on his sign as required by NC law.
For the sake of argument, let’s cut to the chase: where did this no slate sign come from? Who paid for it?
I asked this question at the North Brunswick Republicans FB page,6 who not only posted the sign on their FB page, but promoted their preferred candidates as well. They did not stay neutral. Moore’s (Liberal) Republican club did the same.
When the North Brunswick (Liberal) Republicans posted the sign on their FB page, I asked a question to the anonymous admin:👇
The response from the anonymous administrator is a lie. There is no sign size requirement pertaining to the signs in question. There is a relaxing of the rules for billboards, but the slate sign was NOT a billboard. So they were required by law to note “paid for by…” They did not.
Astonishingly, Frank Williams responded. [ed. I was not shocked by the response because many already knew Williams had a sign company] You can read that and my reponse in full:👇
I should add a correction: I did not mean “treasurer.” I meant former vice chair—who was Larry Blank. I continue:
After I posted that, some 30 minutes later the North Brunswick Republicans removed their entire page from public view. They are now back as of this writing, with the correspondence (and sign) removed from their page. Frank’s response and my counter response are all gone. Anon Admin (is it Frank Williams himself? Larry Blank?) at the North Brunswick (Liberal) Republicans have removed all incriminating evidence, which is rather Hillary Clintonesque, no?
There is yet another problem with Moore/Blank. In the primary, I am told by a few sources, that this was handed out at Virginia Williams Elementary, by the Brunswick Republican Men’s Club:👇
If true, this is in essence, a flier on a sample ballot, and a political advertisement for a slate that is governed by NC GS rules. There is no “paid for by…” disclaimer. Who are the Brunswick Republican Men’s club? Let’s find out:
So the club is LINKED, or a part of, Moore’s Brunswick (Liberal) Republican Party.
It will not come as a shock that Blank and Moore are accusing their fellow Republican opponents of doing EXACTLY what they are in fact doing.
Now we can wrap this all up.
Frank Williams and his wife through their business Patriot Strategies printed the No Slate sign posted above. Frank admits he paid for it. There was no “paid for by” disclaimer on the sign. In fact, there is no disclaimer at all, unlike the flier from the NB Conservatives and North Brunswick Republican club, which did have a disclaimer. The Wiliams no slate sign was prominently displayed and had the Republican Party elephant printed upon it suggesting it was also in part paid for by the Moore’s Brunswick (Liberal) Republican Party. It also suggested that the this was a message from the Moore’s Brunswick (Liberal) Republican Party. We further now know, these signs are being donated to Moore’s Republican Club. Did the club vote to sponsor this sign? Did they pay for it? Why are they accepting it as an in-kind donation if they did not support the message?
There are several campaign violations that appear to break the law here. Moore and Williams are responsible for that part of this story. What could they legally face?
Let us be clear what the Republican Men’s club arm of the Brunswick (Liberal) Republican party, and the anonymous North Brunswick Republicans have done. Section 39a:
(c) Misrepresentation of Authorization. – Notwithstanding G.S. 163‐278.27(a), any candidate, candidate campaign committee, political party organization, political action committee, referendum committee, individual, or other sponsor making an advertisement in the print media or on radio or television bearing any legend required by subsection (a) of this section that misrepresents the sponsorship or authorization of the advertisement is guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
Everything considered, this is far worse, following Blank’s logic, than what Tammaru or the North Brunswick Conservatives allegedly have done.
Moore/Williams slate sign had NO MARKINGS on their ad/signs in violation of NCGS 163. Williams personal campaign signs had NO MARKINGS as well. Tammaru/North Brunswick Conservatives had identifying markers. In the past, Moore asked the North Brunswick Republican Club to remove the elephant in ALL their advertising. They did. Here the no slate sign proudly displays the elephant of Moore’s party as if it was sanctioned by said party.
Someone broke the campaign law egregiously, and it was not the North Brunswick Conservatives or the North Brunswick Republican Club.
Moore and Williams appear to have committed a campaign finance misdemeanor.
Williams/Moore Attack on Free Speech
Before we close part 2, we should make note that Moore/Williams, and Blank are engaged in the suppression of political speech. There’s another party that does the same thing, and it is not Republican.
Moore/Blank/Williams are trying to snuff out free speech in the county by limiting an effective yet small group of conservative Republicans from challenging their authority. This reminds us of the Democrats silencing conservatives on facebook, and other platforms in 2020. It also reminds us when the Democrats (who are not democratic) snaked the nomination away from Bernie Sanders in 2016. Williams/Blank/Moore are right there with their left wing comrades.
What started the war between Moore and conservatives in the county? The North Brunswick conservatives are guilty for what Steve Sailer has called the crime of noticing. Essentially, the North Brunswick conservatives noticed that Moore was taking the county party to the left, and spoke up about it. Moore got all mad at them and sought to silence them. Now exposed, Moore doubled down. He, and Williams, then ran more leftists liberal Republicans against more conservative Republican party leaders.
Moore, Blank, and the Williams behave more like they are a part of the establishment’s “coalition of the fringes” than Traditional Republicans. The evidence is in their actions.
As I close this essay, the Democrats and Liberal Republicans—the ruling class—has just jailed a senior white House official—Peter Navarro. They want us to not believe our eyes what is happening to this country. That is, they tolerate the ruling class tyrannical behavior against the consent of the governed—the people. They want us to believe the lies they present to our eyes.
But the people must reassert consent. The people are in fact waking up.
We should not only turn our backs on them as I noted in part 1, we should remove them electorally from office.
Ed: Right now there is a partial plan for Part 3. Some things need to come to light before that is published, if at all. I would not expect it any time soon. Stay tuned. In its place, we may turn to other local corruptions that need flushing out—some of them noted in the last 2 essays.
John Quincy Adams.
It is not taught in college, but influential southern intellectual George Fitzhugh was arguing just that before Democrats started the war by firing on Fort Sumter.
He is chair of the Brunswick Democrat Party: https://www.wect.com/2023/01/16/chair-brunswick-county-democratic-party-seeking-state-party-seat/
Go read Leland’s town plan—there is much in there what the World Economic Forum would agree with. Soros approved.
Actually, Williams lost one precinct, which was unexpected, but it does note Williams support is weakening in the county.
The North Brunswick republicans were anonymously started (we have no idea who its administrator is because they hide behind anonymity)—see here: https://www.facebook.com/NorthBrunswickRepublicans/about_profile_transparency In other words, we have no idea who is holding the chain to this organization.
Great coverage of the actual facts “on the ground”! I witnessed the “slate sign” being placed in the ground at 5:50 a.m. as I parked at the Brunswick Forest Wellness and Fitness Center preparing to work the polls on election day. Obviously in accordance with your reporting this voting precinct was not the only site to receive the planting of this illegal sign. Looking forward to future follow up concerning accountability for the election violation!😀
