I am not so sure I will be able to add images to the book [it depends on how I publish it], so I thought I would add this. The gold “scandal” will be covered in the book as it sits now—Chapter 12. So, I will keep this part brief.
The story in a nutshell is, Gould and Fisk tried to corner the Gold market, and bought a lot to the point they were getting over their skis. They had inside information coming from someone in the Treasury—basically insider trading. With that info they thought they could drive the price of Gold up and wait for a big cash-in day.
