Why subscribe?

This page is meant to be an update for my upcoming book on Ulysses S. Grant in ways that all other volumes have failed, taking the political seriously. Only Abraham Lincoln—espcially through Harry V. ffa—has received such treatment. Grant has not, to date. Stay tuned for more updates on the book and general posts related to America and Her Founding. There will be posts at times sharing images and other novelty related to the Civil War period as it pertains to Grant, and other figures. The value added for you is that those posts will be related to hard to find words, deeds, and images of the American Founding through the end of Grant’s life.

I will not bombard you with ceaseless inane writings—those are more apt to be found at my blog at eriksroot.com, which is more eclectic. What you will find here are serious and thoughtful pieces that participate in the ideas.

This substack will also feature pertinent writings related to the fate of Higher Ed and its failure. Modern education has become stale and less interested in real education as much as conformity and propaganda. We aim to change that. We need a new beginning. Let’s get to work.
