Leland’s Continued Face Plant
And Port City Daily’s Fake News
It is really difficult to keep a straight face, and not laugh mercilessly at the Leland town council’s own incompetence. EXCEPT, it is us, the Leland citizen, who voted in these clowns, and their bad decisions are what make us suffer.
Take a particularly stupid comment from Sluggo as reported by the PCD:
Carter said she was initially skeptical of some of FlexCode changes.
“As I learned more about it and listened more and read up a little bit more, one of the articles I found says that this is a way for local elected officials and advocates from around the country to move their communities onto the high road of shared prosperity, environmental sustainability and efficient government,” she said.
She said she particularly liked the FlexCode’s updated civic space types, including the addition of greenways, pocket parks and plazas designed to accommodate nature in various parts of the town. Carter said this flexibility to put green space in more areas will allow more Leland residents access to nature.
Just so you understand what she(?) is saying: government has to create green space so WE can “connect” with Nature, because, it is not like nature is all around us, you know?
Seriously? This passes for college education now?
We might also note, it is Leland, and the entire town council, that is the cause of so much destruction of nature in the first place through their back deal developments that are ridding us of that very “nature.”
So their first mistake was to clear land, then they built “businesses” and coffin apartments, only to say “shit we fucked up!” Now we need “green space.”
Why on earth does anyone trust these people who claim to “represent” us?
Clowns.
Which brings us back to the Brunswick Forest development I wrote about in the past. The council was openly involved in a quid pro quo from a developer who wanted to change some land back to residential from commercial, and Sluggo openly noted how she wanted to get “paid” for allowing said land to go back to residential.
Why? Because Leland thinks we need business and commercial development, NOT HOUSING.
Remarkable incompetence on display….and literal corruption.
So the developer came back, as noted in the PCD and said, “hey we found an area for commercial!” which made Sluggo all a-flutter:
“Thank you for being creative and putting it in places where it just makes more sense,” council member Veronica Carter said.
Everyone was pleased that a commercial property could be found to offset the planned residential building in BF. Resident soi boi McHugh was pleased as pie as well. But….for why? Because the town council thinks it knows best where houses and business should go.
As we have noted here, it is not just the Leland council’s prejudice for commercial development (which means for them), it is the decided planning to push people into what I have called coffin apartments. These are the people—renters—they want here, and NOT single family homes with home ownership.
I frequently link to the PCD, but let me assure you, as much as I like the local coverage, they really are a bunch of Democrats giving a tongue bath to the slavers.
Hence, this piece, where they erroneously state the government has no weather altering programs. LOL. Fake news.
The best summary—with primary documents and statements from government representatives—leaves NO DOUBT that our federal government has been seeking, and employing weather altering systems for decades.

But notice, the PCD wants to assure us that some leftist at UNCW has “debunked” the reality. The problem of course is, that we have all the statements from the government stating otherwise. Even if you are not a Jones fan, the video documentary evidence refutes any dumb academic at a left wing college who wants to claim that the government is NOT doing what it IS doing.
But let’s say that the government has no capability of changing/directing/manipulating the weather….the FACT is they still pursue it.
So, is this something government should be doing in the first place? THAT is the question.
As an aside, on a political note, which is really the aim of the PCD article to claim the government is really helping all those people in Appalachia suffering from Helene, the assertion that FEMA and the Biden/Harris administration are helping those people is bullshit. Even Elon Musk documented this. But do your own research and listen to the people who live there. The Democrats abandoned these people on purpose.
Frank Williams says if we enact a moratorium on development the county will get sued. How can this be true? And they were cloud seeding in CA in the 60s when I lived there.
