I heard on the ground in precinct around the county that the Brunswick County GOP had republican signs picked up after early election and some precincts did not have signs on Election Day out at the polls. I was at one of the polls that saw the most activity on Election Day and saw for myself. At the time of early voting the Brunswick County Republican GOP did not all come out in full force in the county to support their candidates. Some Brunswick County GOP candidates did not even have a single leader in the Republican GOP come out and support their candidates. So sad. It was the grassroots or outsider of the Brunswick County GOP who banded together to support candidates down the ticket without help from the leadership in the Brunswick County Republican GOP. I agree the Brunswick County GOP leadership needs to be overhauled. Conservatives and unaffiliated a like need to band together and change what we currently know as the Republican GOP and make it the Patriot Party. Standing on conservative values and principles of our for fathers with the constitution as our guide.
Libertarians in the state are always leftists….I know this because the John Locke Foundation supported Hillary. The reason is they aligned with the democrats on globalism and promiscuity/social issues. ALL their money comes from big corporations.
it is a theoretical statement from Arendt that IS correct—both begin from “self-interest” but if self interest is all there is, there is no room for justice. In other words, at their foundation, libertarians and marxist begin from the SAME spot.
I see where you're coming from WRT being Libertarian. At least what I've always thought Libertarian meant. Never associated that with Communism. I see Erik's point in a way. Now I'm really confused. At least we got TRUMP. If he sticks to his word, we should be in excellent shape.
I voted for every Libertarian on the ballot. Honestly I though Robinson was going to get blown out. I also voted for Iler for the last time if he doesn't get us the right to recall the council. It's time to start putting up or shutting up. I also voted for the three Dems running in the county. Well past time to throw all the bastards out. My ballot just confirmed my wifes theory about my early onset dementia. Seems to me 77.95% of the registered voters voting is a pretty good number. Have not found a national number to compare it to. Do you have it?
I see Robinson did get blown out when I expanded to state wide.
sad but true. Still, should have carried brunswick. All the margins in BC were low…only one person to blame for that….Moore
161,420,000 registered voters nationwide
69,139,870 Democratic votes
73,479,492 Republican votes
142,619,362 total votes
0.883529687 % of registered voters that voted
Say what you will about Trump, he increased participation.
Brunswick County is consistantly apathetic compared to nationwide.

Also telling is the number of Libertarians that apparently [prefer] D to R. Great link. Thanks Erik.

What is your basis for that?
evidence of decades—he’s right about this. Read Hannah Arendt—she noted long ago that marxism and libertarianism are 2 sides of the same coin.
I don't feel like I am a Marxist. Libertarian is closest to my burn it all down political leanings.

compare the BC numbers to recent elections when Moore was not in charge.
I would love to see that turnout in TOL elections next year.
Which is why Moore needs to go—we turned out, and it was a perfect storm for Moore to do his job. He didn’t.
